So it's May 1st and we are glad to Join and celebrate NLC; one of the largest trade union organizations in Africa (with 29 affiliated unions and about 4 million members) on such a remarkable day like this. NLC as an umbrella organization for trade unions in Nigeria was founded following a merger of four different organisations in 1978: Nigeria Trade Union Congress (NTUC), Labour Unity Front (LUF), United Labour Congress (ULC) and Nigeria Workers Council (NWC).
